Emma "Spares Some Hair"
One of our neighbors, and friend, Chloe, has luekemia. She is undergoing treatment and has lost all of her hair. One Friday Michael and Lauren, a darling Laurel from our ward, held a "Spare Some Hair" event in Chloe's honor. They worked together to get local hair dressers to come to the school and cut ponytails and then they advertised with flyers and announcements at school. They ended up with 21 ponytails and many more touched hearts.
Emma has been dying to "give her hair to Chloe" so she jumped at the chance to be involved. She even wore a special t-shirt all day Friday and talked to reporters before and after her haircut. "Chloe has to take medicine that makes her hair fall out. I think she would like my orange hair." We think her new do is darling and we are so proud of both Emma and Michael.
This has been a cool experience for the whole family!!

Spencer's Snot Rockets
Spencer came to me today complaining that his nose hurt. He was poking at it and sneezing so I looked a little closer and low and behold...he had inserted a little blue Lego rocket booster into each nostril. They were the perfect fit and I was lucky to reach them with tweezers but I did. He is SO 2 years old!!
Happy Halloween!!
Emma dressed up as a vampire this year. (I have one girl and she never wants to be girlie!) Michael was Indiana Jones. Jasen was, the always popular(sword toting), Zorro. Spencer was a werewolf. We were a pretty scary crew this year and we got way to much candy but we all had so much fun!!

The Biggest Loser
Well, today is the start of The Biggest Loser, and in the spirit of fun, and painful desperation to lose weight, 6 of my friends and I have started our own "Biggest Loser Challenge." We each pay $10 per month, for three months. The competitor with the biggest weight loss wins the pot. I am pretty excited...of course, because I will win. We will weigh in once a week and Kim will keep track of all of our progress. It will be fun.

Hair Knots
Well, last night after months of combing out Spencer's hair knots, I gave up and cut it all off. He did really well during the cut. He only complained a little about how "itchy" it was. I on the other hand wept as his white locks dropped. He thinks he looks super cool and I think he looks older. At least we won't have to worry about the hair knots anymore.
