Have you ever heard the story of the Daffodil Fields? A long time ago a woman began planting daffodil bulbs on the mountainsides around her home. Year after year she would plant more bulbs, one at a time. Now the entire mountainside is covered in the glory of spring as her bulbs have renewed and repopulated and bloom every year. There are over a million bulbs of daffodil in every variety you can imagine. The idea is that if one woman could change the entire mountainside landscape by planting one bulb at a time just think of the good that we can do in our lives, just one little step at a time!

Sea World-2008
When Nana came out to visit we took her to Sea World. We all had such a nice time. Nana got to pet dolphins (one of the things on her list "to do before I die.") Michael, Jasen, Ben, Spencer and Emma all sat in the "wet zone" for the dolphin show and the Shamu show was fabulous! Sea World is one of the treasures of San Diego that we appreciate the most!

Cake Auction
The Boy Scouts had a fund raising dinner and the kids each made a cake for the auction.
Michael made a cheeseburger with fries! Jasen made a sand castle! Emma made a rainbow covered in Skittles!! Spencer made a "beef cake"!!
I think between them all we probably made $150 for the troop. The kids have so much fun making them and I love that the cakes are going AWAY!! I always hope that they taste good but I guess we will never know!! That "beef cake" looks especially appetizing!!
