Ben on Iwo Jima


Ben had the amazing opportunity to visit the Japanese island of Iwo Jima and hike up Mt. Sarabachi, the site of the ever famous Marine Flag Raising. It was an emotional and historically intriguing visit for him. Iwo Jima is considered sacred ground to the USMC.

Matthew got to do that to on his 1st deployment. He said it was a very memorable experience. He even Stole some sand from IwoJima and brought it home! It is so cool looking. Looks like Ben had a great time
