My Fun Kids!!

It's that time of year again! The "take pictures for Christmas cards" time of year! We went to down town Fredericksburg. The kids were great sports (and we didn't spend any longer than 30 minutes!)

My Handsome Jasen and the Miracle Photo Shoot

Jasen is not a fan of posing for me in any kind of pictures.  He is so difficult that I have resorted to punishing him not by grounding him or taking away privledges but by threatening to make him do a photo shoot.  "That's it, Jasen...you now owe me 50 shots."  To which he responds, "Nooooooo, please Mom, PLEASE!!  I am so super sorry."  To which I respond, "Keep it up Mister and I will make it 60 shots."

These great photos of my darling guy are a result of forgetting to pick up dirty clothes off of the bathroom floor...and considering the same darling guy, we should be seeing plenty more pictures in the future!!  I am an evil genius!!

Fall Soccer-2012

Emma played as the captain of her team.

She led her team to a record of 7-2-1!

Dressing Up, Diva Style

Emma's birthday party was such a blast. We invited 5 teenage friends over to do hair, nails and makeup on 10 of Emmy's friends and then we did a photo shoot!! The girls were all hysterical and adorable and had a great time! I think the biggest shocker of the evening was seeing the girls in small amounts of makeup. I am not sure am ready for that. I guess it's a good thing we don't have to worry about it for a few more years!

Apple Picking

On Monday we all had a day off of work and school!!  We drove an hour and a half into the Shenandoah Mountains.  The drive was so beautiful.  The trees were just beginning to change colors and the air was crisp and chilled.  The drive was long...much longer than expected...but the kids laughed, joked, sang and enjoyed each other the entire drive there.

The Marker-Miller Orchards and Farmers Market was delightful.  The Market smelled of freshly baked apple cider donuts, which we tried-of course, and hot apple cider.  We purchased 2 half-a-peck bags and walked out to the orchards.  The trees were loaded!  Spencer had his bag filled in two minutes flat with apples that were easily the size of The Hulk's fist.  The orchards offered a large variety of apples but the ones we picked were called Red Stayman...juicy, crisp and sweetly tart!  In my opinion close to perfect!

Despite the drastic drop in temperature and our lack of warm clothing we had a great time.  We enjoyed great treats, delicious apples and fun company!!  We can't wait until next fall so that we can go again!!
